Welcome to the Speen Helping Hospices website

This website was created in November 2020 when we were unable to hold our annual Christmas Market due to Covid regulations. We revised our initial plans and started organising a Christmas market in a large marquee in Speen, but further restrictions were introduced so we created an online shop.

The Speen Helping Hospices site has now been developed to highlight our forthcoming events in detail and all our previous fundraising since 2001 in the Chiltern Villages.

Speen Helping Hospices (SHH) is a small voluntary group run by a team of committed women from Speen and North Dean in the Chilterns in Buckinghamshire to fundraise for four local hospices - Helen & Douglas House for Children - Rennie Grove and Peace Hospice Care - South Bucks Hospice at Butterfly House - Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity. Speen Helping Hospices are looking for people in the Chilterns to raise money for SHH by taking part in a local fun run/half marathon/cycle race or other event.

If you are planning or considering taking part in a sporting event, would you help others by fundraising for Speen Helping Hospices - Chiltern Villages as you run in a short race - marathon / cycle / swim?

We, at Speen Helping Hospices will support you on your fundraising journey, we would promote your participation locally and via social media and our website to attract sponsorship.

The group - was founded in 2001 by Suzi Rose and called the Speen Supporters Group, in 2013 it became The Speen Group. In 2014 became the Speen Helping Hospices as this name described the purpose of the group and the full objective of raising money for local Hospices. The group has raised over £159,384 since it was established in 2001.
