Charity Abseil down Spinnaker Tower, Portsmouth 7 September 2024

Target to raise is £2,500

The Rotary Club of High Wycombe is being represented by 3 Rotarians John Radford, Karen Hinchy-Weaver and Chris Harvey who have "volunteered" to abseil the 100 metres down Spinnaker Tower (Portsmouth’s highest thrill) at 11am on Saturday 7th September 2024.

100m Abseil Challenge - A challenge that will test your nerve to the limits despite being an extreme activity, abseiling is open to people of all ages, fitness levels, and doesn’t require any previous skills! There’s no higher abseil in Portsmouth – and no greater reward, you’ll be met with an incredible view of Portsmouth Harbour and the views across Portsmouth, The Solent and Isle of Wight at a breath-taking 100 metres above sea level.(source 2024 Spinnaker Tower)

All funds donated will go into the Wycombe Rotary benevolent fund and will then be shared out the 3 ways in accordance with the individual wishes - John Radford pictured above left is donating his share to to Speen Helping Hospices raising funds for Helen & Douglas House for Children - Rennie Grove and Peace Hospice Care - South Bucks Hospice at Butterfly House - Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity

At the 12th September they had raised £2,335 - 92% (plus gift aid) of their target of £2,500 via Just Giving
