The comedians at the Speen Helping Hospices Comedy Fundraiser:

Iszi Lawrence: (@iszi_lawrence) is a writer, comedian, podcaster and History presenter. Credits include Sky History U-boat: Wargamers, Netflix The Lost Pirate Kingdom, co-host of BBC Radio 4’s flag ship show, Making History with Tom Holland, Your Place or Mine with Shaun Keaveny (BBC R4 and Sounds), Presenter of The Forum (BBC World Service), The British Museum Membercast and popular science podcast Terrible Lizards with Dr Dave Hon.

She has performed bespoke History shows at events for The British Science Festival, Dulwich Picture Gallery, The British Museum, Royal Society, Ashmolean Museum etc. He has spoken at numerous events and has hosted the Conway Hall Ethical Gala and The Museum and Heritage Awards 2022 and 2023.

TV Credits also include Yesterday Channel’s Great British Landmark Fixers, Royals: Keeping The Crown (CuriosityStream), Murderous History (Smithsonian Channel), Ancient Apocalypse (ZDF).

Chris Norton Walker: Chris pokes fun at comedians and audiences alike; mocking assumptions and challenging notions. He uses himself, and his life experiences, as a mirror to ridicule stand up comedy and to deconstruct established comedy motifs. He regularly performs all across the country taking his brand of one-liners, hilarious anecdotes and a commanding stage persona with him. Definitely a name to look out for in the future!

After graduating from Drama school (CSSD) in October he hit the ground hard with numerous gigs all over the country and wants to follow in the footsteps of fellow alumni French and Saunders and Catherine Tate in to TV and film writing and performing. Chris has gigged with the likes of Isy Suttie, Rob Rouse, Dan Antopolski, Paul Foot, Mitch Benn, Tony Law and many others.

Although London based he is a regular performer on the Brighton and Manchester comedy circuits.?Gigging regularly for Mirth Control, Hilarious Comedy Clubs, Laughing Horse comedy Clubs. The group - was founded in 2001 by Suzi Rose and called the Speen Supporters Group, in 2013 it became The Speen Group. In 2014 became the Speen Helping Hospices as this name described the purpose of the group and the full objective of raising money for local Hospices. The group has raised over £159,384 since it was established in 2001.
