Lloyd's Wine Tasting October 2023 for Speen Helping Hospices in the Chilterns

Another great fundraising event in the Chilterns Lloyd's Wine tasting event - Friday 6th October 2023

Fancy a night out tasting wine, eating artisan cheeses and cold meats** among friends while you get to taste 8 extraordinary wines and have a relaxed explanation of the wines as you sip, munch and chat?

If so, then get booked in for this tasty treat, we will greet you with a glass of fizz.

Simon will bring a great cross section of affordable wines to suit all palates, penchants and purses! Once you have paid your entry fee, he will take you all over the wine globe and back. Explore wine from many countries, as well as the more traditional styles.

Another great SHH - Lloyd's Wines of Prestwood wine tasting event as Tim the wine expert guided everyone through the evening's wine menu assisted by Sally and Simon Lloyd

The guests were welcomed with a glass of Vilemaine Crémant, a French sparkling wine that are produced outside the Champagne region, though using the same production methods.

This was then followed with three white wines - 1) Chiens Catalans from France. 2)Ant Moore Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough in New Zealand's South Island. 3) Canorgue White from Luberon France

There was a short break for sales of the hamper tickets (This raised £185) and then onto the red wine selection. 1) Jammy Monkey Shiraz from Victoria, Australia. 2) Chateau Bergey, Fronsac located in the Fronsac appellation of Bordeaux, France and finally 3) Collerosso Castello Poggiarello from Sienna in Italy

£415 was raised by this event

Speen Helping Hospices is very grateful for the support from Fine and Country Estate Agents for sponsoring the event boards for the SHH Lloyd's Wine Tasting Event

The group - was founded in 2001 by Suzi Rose and called the Speen Supporters Group, in 2013 it became The Speen Group. In 2014 became the Speen Helping Hospices as this name described the purpose of the group and the full objective of raising money for local Hospices. The group has raised over £159,384 since it was established in 2001.
